DAB radios spreading but still face challenges
Many listeners of WRS tune in through Digital Audio Broadcasting or DAB radio. Switzerland seems ahead of many of its European neighbours in switching from FM radio to DAB. The one millionth DAB radio was sold here last month and now nearly a third of the population, just under 2.4 million people, can listen digitally. WRS’s Dave Goodman speaks to Béatrice Merlach from the Marketing and Consulting for Digital Broadcasting, a subsidiary of the Swiss Broadcasting Corporation:
