Could tax accords go to a popular vote?

Parliament has passed the landmark tax accords with the UK, Germany and Austria. Senators approved them on Monday. And yesterday, MPs in the National Council did the same. But yesterday’s vote didn’t exactly go off without a hitch. A law to apply them will have to be revoted in the coming weeks. And now that the treaties have passed in Parliament, there’s a new variable in the mix—the possibility that the people may have the final say. WRS’s Jordan Davis is at the Federal Palace:
