Could Switzerland accept refugees from Syria?
In Switzerland, discussions have started about whether to take in a limited number of particularly vulnerable people who’ve fled the conflict in Syria. At a national level, the government hasn’t yet stated its position. But it seems cantonal authorities, who handle placing asylum seekers, could be in favor of the move. So could Switzerland soon be opening its doors? WRS’s Dave Goodman talks to Beat Meiner, the Secretary General of the Swiss Refugee Council.
