CERN gets excited about Higgs evidence

It’s known as the “God” particle and so far it has eluded the brightest brains and cleverest machines that the world has to offer. However, today scientists at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva expect to reveal the clearest evidence yet of the existence of the Higgs boson. WRS’s Dave Goodman speaks to Giuseppe Lacobucci, professor of physics at Geneva University, who has worked on the ATLAS experiment, in one of two teams at CERN that have been hunting for the elusive particle:
