CERN considers even larger tunnel
After discovering the Higgs boson-like particle, the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva is now considering what to do next. A brainstorming session in Poland included some very big ideas being thrown onto the table, many revolving around the Large Hadron Collider and the new particle that was discovered in July. James Gillies, spokesman from CERN, tells WRS’s Alex Helmick more about CERN’s future plans:
