Capturing and mining asteroids? 'Realistic' and 'exciting'
The head of the Swiss Space Association says a new project to use robots to capture asteroids and then mine them for precious metals is not a science fiction dream. An American company called Planetary Resources is backed by billionaires and plans to start monitoring asteroids ripe for the picking in the next two years. Alex Helmick talks to Jean-Daniel Dessimoz, president of the Swiss Space Association:
