Brussels 'fed up' with bilateral relationship with Switzerland

Could Switzerland and indeed Norway be used as a model for those eurozone countries seeking an exit from the euro? A new report from the think-tank the Centre for European Reform concludes the two countries’ relationship with Brussels offers valuable lessons for the UK in particular where support is growing for a pull-out. WRS’s Dave Goodman spoke to the report’s author David Buchan, a former Brussels bureau chief for the Financial Times, to also explore how Switzerland can learn from Norway in terms of its relationship with the EU. He began by asking him why he believes the current impasse between Brussels and Bern means it’s not a good idea to adopt the Swiss approach:
