Asian long-horned beetles cause Swiss tree trouble
If there is one sure-fire way to get forestry officials worked up, it is by telling them a 5 centimeter long beetle is chomping through Swiss woodlands. The Asian Long-horned Beetle has popped up in the cantons of Basel, Fribourg, Thurgau, and most recently in Lucerne and Zurich, in Winterthur. That’s where WRS’s Tony Ganzer went to see what all the fuss is about.
