As Spain melts down, spotlight may turn to Italy
This time a year ago, concerns over the Greek debt crisis sent investors running for cover. Twelve months on it’s Spain that’s giving markets the jitters. Add to that continuing fears over Greece’s ability to meet its bailout targets. Plus the fact that a credit rating agency has downgraded its outlook for Germany. And you can begin to understand why the euro debt crisis is back on the front pages. WRS’s Pete Forster talks to Simon Evenett, professor of International Trade & Economic Development at St Gallen University.
