The silver lining in Haitian hospital care
The earthquake in Haiti a year ago drew attention to the woeful situation of its public health system. Swiss humanitarian aid teams rushed in to help shore up Port-au-Prince’s main hospital. In the time since, NGOs have been operating clinics and hospitals across the country. In many ways, Haitians are getting access to better care now than ever before. But that may not last—as WRS’s Jordan Davis reports:
