All the presidents go after banking men
French President Nicolas Sarkozy gave a typically spirited opening keynote address at the 40th Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, making a dramatic call for radical reform of capitalism and endorsing U.S. President Obama’s plan to break up banks too big to fail. Swiss President Doris Leuthard also notched up pressure on the banks and called for action on other challenges such as climate change, saying the time for rhetoric is over.
