Adele’s prodigious talent is matched only by her infectious charm, both of which were on show during her hugely well-received concert at Montreux’s Miles Davis Hall.
Undoubtedly one of the major success stories of 2008, her debut album 19 has been nominated for four Grammys, as well as the prestigious Mercury Music Prize.
Yet the breadth of her talent can only be fully appreciated in a live setting.
Adele has a voice that seems to soar without effort, and she appears equally at ease playing guitar and bantering with the crowd. Plus she’s a really good laugh.
Laura Leishman sat down with the friendly 20-year-old after her set (and right before she jumped on stage with Mark Ronson. Adele that is, not Laura).
