Urban development crowding out Swiss cows

Switzerland is about 60 percent self-sufficient in food production. But the Swiss Farmers Union has warned that as more and more agricultural land is lost to development, it will become increasingly difficult to maintain that level of domestic production. The warning comes against the global backdrop of rising food prices and rising population. The union held its annual press conference on Tuesday at a farm near Bern where the pressure on agricultural land is clearly visible. WRS reporter Vincent Landon has the story:
