Tenant and landlord disputes

Arbitration boards at the communal, cantonal and even federal level can help settle disputes between property owners and tenants. There, experts are available to advise on matters free of charge. Representatives from both homeowners’ and tenants’ associations are chaired by independent conciliators. You can find the appropriate conciliation board by going to the Swiss Association for Tenants website and clicking on your locale. Additional support and information can be found at the following associations:

The Swiss Association for Tenants:
Mieterinnen- und Mieterverband Deutschschweiz (MV) for German-speaking regions (in German)
Association Suisse des locataires (ASLOCA) for French-speaking regions (in French)
Associazione Svizzera Inquilini (ASI) for Italian-speaking regions (in Italian)

Landlord associations:
Swiss Home Owner’s Association (HEV Schweiz) (in German)
Fédération Romande Immobiliere (in French)
Hausverein Schweiz (in German)
HabitatDurable Suisse (in French)

I live in Bern. My Landlord prohibits the installation of a Satellite Dish, as mentioned in the Tennancy Agreement.

I wish to only install a flat dish 50x 27 cm on the window sill to get Eurobird 9 for Tamil Christian TV Programme viweing - s my Cablecom connection does not have same. Is my action legal despite what is said in the Tenancy Agreement. Thanks for your views
