Dr. Michelle Wright

Dr. Michelle WrightMichelle Wright graduated as a doctor from the University of Bristol, England in 1997. She first worked in hospital medicine as part of her General Practice (GP) training and later worked as a GP in a busy inner-city London practice before moving to Switzerland in 2004. She is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, England.

As her professional career has evolved, Michelle has developed an interest health education and this can be seen through the work that she does today. Observing through her own practice that ‘prevention is better than cure’, she is also a strong advocate for health promotion and disease prevention.

As well as being a regular contributor on WRS, Michelle also works as a medical author for a UK-based medical information company, writing articles and leaflets for both patients and doctors on various health topics. Through HealthFirst, she runs regular courses in English throughout Geneva and Vaud on first aid and cardio-pulmonary resuscitation. Her clinical work is as a part-time doctor in the staff medical service at one of the United Nations organisations in Geneva.
