Why is reception on 101.7 in Lausanne so poor when it was okay on 88.4?

It has to do with the “purity” of the frequency, or in this case, the lack thereof. 88.4 was purer than 101.7, which is additionally being interfered with by 101.5 and 101.9 in the Lausanne area. Ofcom mandated the switch in frequencies in order to make space on the FM dial for a new radio station in the region.

The best way to listen to WRS is on DAB+ radio.
