I'm having problems with WRS Classifieds. Can you help me?

First, read the Classifieds FAQs below. If your question is not answered, please send it to web@worldradio.ch. We will make an effort to respond whenever possible, however due to limited staff resources we are not able to answer all inquiries.

WRS CLASSIFIEDS FAQs

Q. I’m having problems uploading photos to my listing. Can you help me?

A. This almost always means your photo exceeds the 1 MB size limit so you will need to reduce its file size. Most digital cameras come with photo editing software which will help you do this, or you can use free online services such as www.resize2mail.com or www.shrinkpictures.com or www.picresize.com

Q. How can I delete photos from my listing?

A. This is a bug our technician has not yet been able to resolve, so at present it is not possible to delete a photo from a listing. You’ll have to live with it or repost your listing. Sorry about that!

Q. There is a scam on the WRS Classifieds, why haven’t you removed it?

A. We remove these as time allows, however there is no way of stopping scammers from signing up again and again with an infinite number of other email accounts. In other words, it’s a losing battle of resources against criminals who have more time on their hands than we. We strongly advise all of our listeners to heed our scam warning and only transact locally.

Q. I received an email that looks like a scam. What do you think?

It probably is a scam. We urge you to carefully read our scam notification:

Only do business LOCALLY and in person. NEVER WIRE MONEY. Never send money in advance. You will lose your money.

If someone offers to send more money than your listed price, THIS IS A SCAM.

DO NOT buy mobile phones or rent housing from sellers who claim to be in the UK or US, or who appear to represent a company. THESE ARE ALL SCAMS. If someone is selling multiple cell phones, it is almost certainly a scam.

Beware of RENTAL scams, particularly in Geneva, Vaud and Zurich. Again, never send money in advance. This is NOT common practice in Switzerland.

As a general rule, if you have any suspicions that something MIGHT be a scam, it probably is.

We are doing our best to prevent abuse of the system, however often the people who run these scams are career criminals and devote a great deal of time cheating the system and signing up with endless accounts.

Please use common sense and caution.
